Jackie's Journey "Is Anyone Listening?"

When you are making a decision or looking for an answer, where do you go?  The internet, social media, a trusted friend…where?  There are voices everywhere.  How can we be confident that we are listening to the right one?

My Dad called me “Princess” all my life…he had four!  As a teenager, working at his office one summer, I was asked to drive into the airport in Los Angeles and pick him up.  It was a workday and I stood quietly waiting as the plane landed, watching carefully for my father.  Somehow, he had disembarked and I had missed him! Running to the street…he was nowhere in sight!  All I could see was a blanket of the backs of fifty business men in black suits, all carrying the same black valise, scurrying for taxis and limousines.  In my panic, I simply called out…one time…”Daddy!”.  A very tall handsome man promptly turned around to smile at me. My dad instantly knew my voice and immediately responded!

Can we hear the voice of God like that?

How do we recognize HIS promptings when HE speaks to us?

We can be confident that the quiet urging will be to do HIS will and will be in harmony with the Word of God.  When the “power of the godhead” walked into our lives at salvation, we were sealed with the Holy Spirit.  This HELPER is given to govern us and is one of the most important aspects to living a life in harmony with God.  We are able to discern when HE is prompting us to think, speak and act according to HIS Word.

This small, quiet voice will warn us of temptations and if obeyed, will produce godly character in us.  When we resist the voice, it doesn’t force us, but becomes quieter and quieter. It can be quenched!  Knowing and understanding that voice is imperative to our relationship with God.

Listening for that voice when I am looking for an answer or making a decision is the difference  between a life of peace or one wrapped in chaos.

“When we rely on organization, we get what organization can do.  When we rely on education, we get what education can do.  When we rely on eloquence, we get what eloquence can do.  But when we rely on the Holy Spirit, we get what God can do!” A.C. Dixon

Are you listening for His voice?

“It is impossible for that man to despair who remembers

 that his Helper is omnipotent.”

Jeremy Taylor

Jackie's Journey "I AM WOMAN!"

Unknown-4.jpg

Do you know how you were designed?

A woman…empowered with destiny and purpose.

What did God have in mind where it is written in I Peter 3: 7

“…SOMEONE WEAKER, SINCE SHE IS A WOMAN”!

I have no doubt at this point I have your full attention…

God’s design for Women is to use sensitivity, instruction and the truest sense of loyalty to her husband:

(1)To equip and give her tools to fulfill her role on earth, as a giver, not a taker

(2)   To give her direction and purpose in her life

(3) To give her a sense of success and an opportunity to reflect glory back to God

(4) To know fulfillment in her calling and service

(5) To sense acceptance and appreciation for her distinction from man and to man.

(6)   To allow her to be the completer and helpmate to her husband

(7)   To be able to perceive the true attitudes and emotions of those around her.

Satan’s evil design for Women is to use sensitivity, instruction and disloyalty to cause in man:

(1)   Suspicion in place of trust

(2)   Competition in place of unity and oneness

(3)   Insecurity in place of giving refuge and comfort

(4)   Self-protection in place of exercising protectiveness

(5)   Pride of self (man’s ideas and concepts are the same as God’s!) instead of servanthood

(6)   Defensiveness and blaming wife in place of brokenness and genuine love.

Our Goal  to fulfill God’s design is:  To learn to use Satan for God’s Glory!

 Interested??

 HOW DO WE DO THIS?

The purpose and goal being to continually reflect glory back to God by using Satan and his co-horts and their evil, divisive thought patterns as springboards to remind us to step outside our little world of sensitiveness and offenses and pick a needy unsaved person to pray for.

In doing this, we reflect glory back to God, as we pour out our heart for a lost person and resist our self-life!  Of course, Satan runs when he realizes God’s power to answer that prayer!  The more we are reminded to pray by our needless offenses…the more God is glorified and our loyalty to Him is developed.  It’s a win…win!

Our attitudes must reflect HIS grace in life’s situations

and not reflect our self-love…Psa. 119: 1-6

We make the choice…

OK MOM’S, HOW ARE WE USING OUR GOD-GIVEN SENSITIVITY?

“The greatest waste in the world is the difference between

what we are and what we could be.”  John Grimes
